Mellendorf Has Them Singing the Blues at Memphis
Memphis, Tn. – Brian Mellendorf returned to his dominant ways Sunday night at Memphis. He captured the pole with a lap of 24.092 seconds and led 91 of the 125 lap race. The only driver able to keep Mellendorf in sight was his BlackJack Motorsports teammate David Preston who had an equally strong truck. Preston led early but had trouble in pits later on that caused him to have to come from behind to finish in 2nd place. Veteran drivers Ron Henson and Mike Horton would finish 3rd and 4th. Rick Hubler finished in 5th with late race engine troubles. The series is off the next 2 weeks. The trucks will take to the track at Kentucky motor Speedway on 7/19/2009.
